The Last Piece to the Puzzle
It’s almost May which means it’s finally getting warm in Northeastern US.
I’m finding every moment I can to escape to the outdoors and bask in the sun. That’s what I’m doing now, writing on the front steps at my parents’ home.
I am also thinking about May because that means it’s almost June. And June is the midpoint check when I’ll be looking at what I’ve accomplished so far this year.
At this point, some work still needs to be done, but I’m feeling good.
The business I attempted twice before, well I started it up again.
I’ve mentioned it before a few times.
The fact that I quit on it twice for nothing other than poor execution and planning really bothered me- especially because I had this business on my vision board.
I know, it already looks like I’m juggling plenty and more or less, I am.
That’s where my two sisters come in.
I brought them both on board and now we each own 1/3rd of the company.
It’s always been a dream of mine to have a business with my siblings. We have actually have a fourth sibling but he’s busy and away at college. He’s the youngest and is pretty much the golden child. But I’m okay with that lol.
I’ve always liked the idea of nepotism but I haven’t exactly “made it” yet. So instead, my idea is to join forces and with that exponentially increase the results.
With the three of us, there is balance. We each bring something different to the table.
The youngest sis is into social media.
She knows all about Instagram and it’s features. She’s built her own following for her makeup page and is starting to receive free products from brands.
The middle sis likes to model. She’s definitely has a mediator personality and does not like conflict.
They say I’m the organized one and that I know how to put everything together. I don’t like being in pics but I’m going to have to get over that in the next couple of weeks.
Last week, we just sent a down payment to our supplier. We’re having a fabric custom printed and two newly designed headbands made.
In 3-4 weeks we should have the finished products in hand.
Tomorrow and Wednesday, I’ll be working on redoing our site and then we’re taking some pics with the samples of the new headbands so we can list them for preorder.
All that being said, today is surprisingly pretty light. I have a podcast interview tonight with someone who has a pretty successful swim lesson company and after that a bit of editing.
I’m definitely good on projects for a while now and will likely not start anything else major for at least another year and a half.
So that’s it, it took me a little over 4 months to figure out my direction from January 7th, when I started writing, until now. I finally have my plans in place.
The only thing now is execution.
