My life motto is, “Add value to others without expecting anything in return”
Today on the podcast, I asked Jordon Gross what brings him the most satisfaction in life. Jordan left his corporate job and pursued his passion for movement by becoming a personal trainer and he is also the author of the book, “Getting COMFY: Your Morning Guide to Happiness”.
The quote above was the first part of his reply.
Adding value without expectation
There’s nothing that matches the feeling of having created something that’s made a difference in someone’s life.
As creators, our work matters. It’s why we can’t stop. Someone out there needs to read what we write or hear what we have to say or see what we have to paint.
It all matters, whether we see the impact or not.
Jordan’s motto is a powerful one and it’s one that strongly aligns with my vision for life.
As someone who writes daily posts, does a daily podcast and has a variety of other side projects going on, I was humbled to have left our conversation feeling like I still had to step my game up.
The number of 23-years-olds I know who are self-aware and have this much insight is….”0″.
As for Jordan’s morning routine, it’s a killer way to start the day.
Every morning, I normally do my affirmations, gratitude, visualizations, and exercise but I never thought about starting my day off by watching something funny to make me laugh or put a smile on my face. During our conversation, we talked about countering the extreme negativity in the media by seeking out positivity, even if that means watching videos of cute kittens or soldiers returning home to family.
If you want to hear more about how to have an awesome morning, you’re going to want to listen to today’s podcast where we discuss all the deets.
This afternoon was a great experience; it was the first time we had a guest on the podcast and there will definitely be more to come!
